What We Believe

THE DIVINE AND VERBAL INSPIRATION OF THE SCRIPTURES of the Old and New Testament, inerrant in the original writings and the supreme authority for faith and life.

THE TRIUNE GOD – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, everlasting and unchanging, one God existing in three persons.

THE DEITY AND VIRGIN BIRTH OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, who is the Eternal Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, true God and true man. His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His unchanging Priesthood.

THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – the third person of the trinity, whose immediate work is the regeneration of man, his sanctification and preservation to the heavenly kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ.

THE CREATION OF MAN IN THE IMAGE OF GOD – and his subsequent fallen, sinful and lost estate.

THE NECESSITY OF THE NEW BIRTH – for salvation from the penalty of sin, through repentance towards God and faith in the substitutionary death of the Lord Jesus Christ.

BELIEVER’S BAPTISM AND THE LORD’S SUPPER – the two ordinances of the Church established by Christ. Believer’s Baptism being by immersion and in obedience to our Lord’s command, a symbol of sharing in His death, burial and resurrection. The Lord’s supper being a memorial, until His return, of the sacrifice of the body and blood of the Lord.

THE FINAL RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD – the saved to everlasting life in heaven and the unsaved to everlasting punishment in hell.

THE UNITY OF THE TRUE CHURCH, THE BODY AND BRIDE OF CHRIST -consisting of only those who are born again and for whom Christ now makes intercession in heaven.

THE “BLESSED HOPE” OF THE IMMINENT, VISIBLE AND PERSONAL RETURN OF CHRIST – for His saints and of His coming physical reign on earth.
